BACKSTAGE!
Youve found your way backstage into where Cedar Moon is shakin the tree. What we hope to do on this page is to give you a personal glimpse into what Cedar Moon does behind the scenes, what its like to be in an original eco-tribal rock band playing shows, shakin the tree and workin hard who the players are and what they do. Maybe the occasional political rant. A day in the life. If you have any comments, we want to hear them!
Namaste,
Cedar Moon

Cedar Moon is entered in this year's BAND SLAM 2003, which is a "Battle-of-the-Bands" type of thing sponsored by 92.9 KISM and I'm happy to report that we won the first round and are moving on to the semi-finals. Look for us on Feb 11 at Christo's club in Bellingham and listen to KISM 92.9 for details. ~ Cedar Moon

It's been a cool fall & early winter music season - hope you all had a grand holiday! Next up for Cedar Moon is a Bellingham show at the Wild Buffalo House of Music, Thursday January 23, 9 PM. We need your support so please come enjoy the show & bring your friends - just $5 for a fun night of music, fine wine & micro-brews. Cedar Moon's new CD "Shake the Tree" is taking a bit longer than we thought, but it's coming along nicely. Look for it in stores and on line in April. Keyboard player Richard Keene has left the band and now our viola player Phil Heaven has taken on that role and is doing a marvelous job. More to come - thank you all so much for your support! ~ Cedar Moon

Lot's of wonderful stuff happing this month. We've added a hot new bassist, Sid Miller and an amazing keyboard player, Richard Keene to the Cedar Moon groove machine. Both are consumate pro's, with a solid dedication to the groove and the sound is really blowing me away! Sid and drummer Vic are locking in a firm & funky foundation while Richard is a textural guru - adding just the right blend of keyboards to the mix. I'm looking forward to the series of festival performances we've got lined up this summer. Check 'em out on the Shows page. When you come to the show, c'mon up to the stage & introduce yourself! See you at the shows! Cedar Moon

Cool news! I was hired by Soundings of the Planet Record Label to record some six string fretless bass on the new Sonic Tribe Record. It features Scott Huckaby on guitar and Gina Scala on vocals. The recording session went very well and the new record "Spirit Rising" will be released in October, 2002! Color me Studio Bassist! Craig

Ive heard reports that somebody said that George W. allegedly called Cedar Moon a group of crazed, atavistic, tree-worshipping NeoDruids. I would like to categorically deny that this type of intelligent discourse or subtle grasp of the English language has ever passed the lips of our acting president. To the best of my knowledge, George W. doesnt know the difference between a neoDruid and a Cheese Fajita. But I could certainly be mistaken. Craig
